High Street Heroine Takes On Ultimate Challenge.

by Hannah, 6th October 2011

Retail guru and style icon, Mary Portas is famous for transforming the lives of those within the retail business, helping independent store owners breath new life into their boutiques through tv programme 'Mary Queen Of Shops' that hit our screens in 2007. Since then she went on to record the series 'Mary Queen of Charity Shops' taking on poor performing charity stores and doing what she does best-transforming them!

With her amazing passion and knowledge for retail and brand communication she expressed her opinion on national retailers lack of customer service and took them head on in her tv series 'Mary Portas: Secret Shopper'. Here we saw her take on big brands in the retail space donning a disguise and a secret camera to record the poor customer service.

As if all of this wasn't enough she was later commisioned by the Prime Minster David Cameron to take on the challenge of reviewing the future of the British high street. After years of guiding retailers to building not only a better store but a better business she has now put her money where her mouth is to take on her biggest challenge of all time. A retail store of her own within House Of Fraser.

Naturally the journey is being filmed for her new series 'Mary Queen of Frocks' where she has claimed to be creating a store with first class customer service and clothing for real women. The high street heroine has not only given us a new line of clothing but you will also find beauty, home and food and a whole heap of style tips! Also teaming up with British handbag company Radley, Mary has created an exclusive range that has left everyone wondering, is their anything this woman cannot do?!

With the media coverage surrounding the new store and House of Fraser being one of the biggest department stores in the UK we are convinced that the Mary Portas range will be flying of the shelves so be sure to head online now to view the amazing range and pick up a few ideas for your new wardrobe.
