Research in Motion, the company who brought us the Blackberry range of smartphones has just unveiled their own tablet computer. Called the Playbook, it is supposed to be launched into the shops during 2011 and they are hoping that it is going to rival the iPad from Apple.
The playbook boasts two cameras and a 7 inch screen; it also has Wi-Fi connectivity so that users can access the internet where there is a wireless hotspot. To access 3G networks it will need to be hooked up to one of the blackberry smartphones.
There has not yet been a price set for the BlackBerry Playbook, but it is thought that it will be at a lower cost to other tablet computers already on the market. There are already future plans for the playbook and 3G and 4G models are also being considered.
It weighs only 400g so it is easily transportable in a handbag. It is thought that this model will be quite popular due to the fantastic design and great features.
