Hi Darren, no sorry this doesn't come with Microsoft Word - that's a separate software application that has to be purchased individually. No new laptops and PCs come with Microsoft Word.

I'd go for a laptop with a dedicated graphics memory. That intel card is capable of stealing up to 1320mb of system resources to help generate graphics. But those resources would still be used if you're playing a game like WOW. Its a bit of a false economy. A dedicated card of at least 256mb on an nvidea or ATI card would make for much smoother gaming.

The rule for music production is the faster the processor and the more ram you have, the better the music production programs will run. This is a good laptop for the price with a pentium dual core processor with 3 GB RAM so should handle Ableton live and the soft synths of reason without any dropouts.
