Let’s start with what the laptop has been developed for, portability. The Acer Timeline series has been developed from the ground up to be a lightweight and portable laptop. Weighing just 1.6kgs you can hold it with just 2 fingers and put in a carry case you wouldn’t even know it was in there. In fact some Netbooks would need to crash diet next to this, especially when you close it and realise it’s less than 1” thick!
Multi-Gesture touch pad – Put simply it you can control web pages and manipulate photos just like you are using an iPhone! A little clever point is that it has a touch pad lock button so you won’t be annoyed while you type!
Multicard reader – This is still not a standard feature on Laptops, so worth a mention. It takes all your usual standard card formats.
3GB/250GB – Well over the average Ram and storage for a normal Laptop, but remember this is double what you would usually find for the money!
Battery – 6 hours usage! Battery life can be very subjective and quote are often misleading, but as I type this, it is saying 35% left giving 2hours 20 mins. So 6 hours seems to be about right, that is all day computing (with an hour for lunch!)
Screen 13.3” – The screen is a High Definition LED giving a resolution of 1366 x 768, meaning you can link it to your HD TV and to make it easy you also have an HDMI socket, not one laptop has this feature for this price.
What else can we say about it, well it has a floating full size keyboard, making it very easy to type, unique cooling technology so no red knees, oh and Windows 7 home premium edition, again never before seen on a laptop of this price.
Please note this laptop does not have an optical drive.
