It is a new NOTEBOOK not Laptop, the memory can be upgradede to 2Gb, I'll get one of the sales team to contact you and see if they can help you get a laptop which fits your needs.

The main difference between a netbook and laptop is a lack of dvd drive. If you buy an external drive to put the films onto the netbook this will be fine. If not you'll need to download them from the internet and store them on your hard drive.

No, there will be a trial of office but this needs to be bought separately. As for playing games, its good for the little web games but anything will struggle as the spec is just not powerful enough to handle anything graphically intensive.
